On Friday, Tonga's Pita Taufatofua, who became an instant international star at the Rio Olympics when he walked into the opening ceremony shirtless, did it again at the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony. The thirty-four year-old Taufatofua made his Olympic debut in 2016, competing in taekwondo. He was eliminated from the competition in the first round, but won thousands of fans for his shirtless appearance. After Rio, he switched sports and began to train for cross-country skiing, and qualified for the Winter Olympics back in January. According to one reporter at the games, when Taufatofua reprised his famous entrance on Friday, the temperature was around 17 degrees Fahrenheit.
